You save a lot of space by needing less or even no residential buildings.

Temple of Relics (some relics are very nice, like special buildings, 25/100 Forge Points, 25/200 of one good from your current age.)Ī defensive Great Building (I would suggest the Saint Basil's Cathedral as it's slightly smaller than Deal Castle).Ī Great Building providing population (I don't know what age you're in, but I assume you're at the start, so if you are get the Tower of Babel). Lighthouse of Aleksandria (having a supply boost is always good and the goods you get from them are a nice addition) Whatever your play style is, I would suggest some Great Buildings. If you do not plan on fighting (attacking your neighbors, fighting in the GE/PVP/campaign map), building the Zeus, Aachen, Castel del Monte, Alcatraz. Great Buildings offer a wide selection of boosts/bonuses. It is too inconsistent, so I don't like taking up precious space in an early era city. I prefer to wait until I have a little bit more room. While I do GE4 in all of my cities from the moment I unlock IA, I've started holding off building this for a few eras. But just when you are about to delete it, it will give up some FPs, goods, or rogues. ToR- I have a love/hate relationship with the ToR. If you change your mind, you can always go back and build it. If you don't like the fighting aspect and only fight casually (or like me to fulfill quests), you can skip it. Hard to say it hasn't been worth the space it takes upĬoA- Are you a fighter? Do you plan to be? If so, you will need/want this. My HS has been at level 10 for about 3 years. Plus it is 'cheap' to level compared to later era buildings. But it is a building you can get early on, so you will have it a long time. For its size, does it give a lot of FPs? No. But it also solves any happiness problem you could have in the early ages without having to buy goods- plus it gives FPs. Some people will hate on it and drone on about how terrible it is.

If you are trying to stay true to your era, or don't want to mess with buying later aged goods, the Hagia Sophia can be a solid building. What you will find a consensus on is the Colosseum and Notre Dame. Whether someone searches for a thread where this has been hashed out a million times or people start giving their opinions here, you will find that everyone's opinion is different.
